HostlyHost

About HostlyHost

Built from real guest access operations.

HostlyHost began as an internal tool for properties operated under Relax at Our Place. It grew from the day-to-day need to verify stays, manage smart-lock access, and give guests a clear path to help when access issues happen outside normal business hours.

How it started

A practical tool that grew with the operation.

Internal operations first

HostlyHost began as an internal tool built to manage guest access for properties operated under Relax at Our Place. As the portfolio grew, we adopted TTLock-enabled smart locks and needed a reliable way to automate access management alongside reservation workflows.

Reservation context connected to access support

To support that process, HostlyHost integrated with Hospitable to maintain reservation information and automate guest access operations. The platform evolved from a simple lock-management utility into a broader guest support solution designed around real operational challenges faced by short-term rental hosts.

Guest problems shaped the product

One recurring challenge was helping guests who experienced access issues outside normal business hours. We implemented a dedicated 24/7 support line so verified guests could get assistance when they needed it most.

Visible support at the property

Properties managed under Relax at Our Place now display HostlyHost support information directly at the entrance, giving guests a clear path to assistance throughout their stay. The result has been fewer disruptions, faster resolutions, and a better guest experience.

Expanded for co-host operations

As additional properties and co-host partners joined the platform, HostlyHost expanded beyond lock management into reservation verification, property-specific resources, guest guidance, house manuals, how-to videos, support calls, and messaging services.

What it became

Guest guidance and host operations in one workflow.

Access workflows

  • Reservation verification
  • Automated access workflows
  • Smart-lock support context

Property resources

  • Property-specific resources
  • House manuals
  • How-to videos

Guest support

  • Guest guidance tools
  • Support call services
  • Messaging services

Security first

Designed around authorized integrations and host-controlled permissions.

For TTLock integrations, our objective is to use vendor-authorized OAuth workflows whenever available and avoid storing customer lock account passwords. Access is granted by the property owner and can be revoked at any time through the connected platform.

Looking forward

Expanding from our own operations to fellow hosts.

After proving its value across our own operations, HostlyHost is now being expanded to serve fellow hosts, co-hosts, and property managers. Our goal is simple: provide hosts with a reliable way to automate access operations and give guests a clear path to assistance whenever they need help.
